One of the 56 trophy achievements in Clair Obscur Expedition 33 is the Plane Train and Submarine Trophy. Unlike some of the achievements or trophies in the game, this one is hidden. It sees you having to discover all of Esquie’s abilities. Keep in mind, you actually have to have unlocked Esquie to be able to even attempt this!

How to Unlock Esquie’s abilities In Clair Obscur Expedition 33
There are four abilities that Esquie has for you to unlock during the course of the game. They are swimming, breaking corals, flying, and underwater diving.
We can unlock the character Esquie after having visited the Esquie’s Nest location, which is part of the main story. We visit it after Gestral Village.
Swimming Ability
The first ability is the swimming ability. You get it automatically after you progress through the Stone Wave Cliff region. Using Esquie, you’ll be able to swim to areas on the map that were originally unreachable.
How To Unlock Breaking Corals Ability
Notice some of the coral on the map that blocks off certain areas? Well, with the Breaking Coral ability Esquie will smash these corals for you, allowing you to continue on through the area that is now free of coral. To be able to get this ability, you must have progressed through Old Lumiere.
Flying Is Also Part Of Esquie’s Abilities
You believe you can fly? Well so does Esquie provided that you have defeated the Paintress. After defeating the Paintress you’ll be able to fly around on the world map, reaching new areas that were previously unreachable!
Unlocking Esquie’s Underwater Diving
The final ability to unlock is Underwater diving. Unlike the others, this doesn’t automatically unlock through the main story progression so you could completely miss it. To be able to get this, you need to bring Esquie’s relationship level from 5 to 6.
This can be done by speaking to him at camp. Eventually, he will ask you to find another one of his rocks which leads to a fight with the not so charming Francois. Win and Esquie will get the ability to dive in the water on the world map. Specifically, he’ll be able to interact with the glowing bubbles in the water.
Completing Plane, Train, and Submarine Trophy
Once you have finished unlocking all of his abilities then you get the trophy! Again, the underwater diving ability can be easy to miss so make a note to get this ability.
