The Chromatic Glissando in Clair Obscur Expedition 33 is one of those bosses that is optional. But that doesn’t mean you shouldn’t engage in a fight with it. The rewards alone are worth it!
This particular boss is also part of Lune’s side quest that you will need to complete if you intoned to fully max out her bonding. Quest takes place in Sirene’s Dress

How to Find Chromatic Glissando in Clair Obscur
To find Chromatic Glissando, you need to find the Sirene’s Dress area which is east of Sirene itself. Enter the area and go forward, past the rest point. You’ll see a door up ahead. Have Lune interact with it and choose to play music. This will, then, open the door allowing you to go inside. Continue going forward, past another rest point. If you keep going forward, the Chromatic Glissando boss will appear.
How to Defeat Glissando in Expedition 33
The best way to weaken it is to shoot it’s tail. This boss is weak to ice and dark with a resistance to earth and light. Another thing to keep in mind is that you want to avoid having your characters die.
If they die, the boss will eat them which leads to the boss being able to heal itself. Three enemies will also appear at the end of the fight, once the Chromatic Glissando is killed so you’ll have to take care of them as well.
The Chromatic Glissando will use the following moves:
- Tail Slam is a move that will hit the party 7 times. Dodge when you hear the swish sound.
- Gradient Tail Slam will hit the party five times. The last hit requires you to use a gradient counter.
- Weakened Tail Slam is exactly as it sounds. It hits the party about three times. This occurs if you managed to destroy the tail
- Binding Attack is a move where the boss swipes at the party with it’s tail. Dizzy will be inflicted so make sure to dodge accordingly.
- Head Smash is a move where the boss smashes the party twice with it’s head.
Rewards include level 20 Choralim weapon for Lune, 2 grandiose chroma catalyst, and 5x color of lumina.
