Clair Obscur Expedition 33 - How To Beat Alicia Boss

Clair Obscur Expedition 33 has a range of bosses that are either optional or required to fight if you want to further the storyline. Alicia is one of those bosses that is completely optional! She is part of Maelle’s side quest. In order to further her bonding and, eventually, reach max bonding with Maelle you will need to confront Alicia.

How to Find Alicia in Clair Obscur

Alicia is found in The Reacher which is west of Visages and north of The Crows. Follow the path inside The Reacher. You will eventually find Alicia on the very top of The Reacher. It’s vital to prepare Maelle because this is a solo fight for her.

After a cut scene, the fight will start so prepare yourself.

How to Defeat Alicia In Expedition 33

Before you fight the boss, know that she doesn’t have any weaknesses or resistances. It will almost be like fighting Malelle and if you’ve reached this far in the game, you know why that makes sense.

Deal as much damage as you can while parrying and dodging as needed. There are also phase shifts in this fight. In the first phase you get the message “Alicia gets Stronger” meaning she puts a damage buff on herself. The second shift says “Alicia Gets Faster” whish sees her applying rush on herself.

Here is a list of her moves:

Sword Ballet is where Alicia attacks with a five hit sword ballet combo. She will slash from side to side with the final hit being a jumping attack.
Virtouse Strike is a hit where the boss uses a five hit strike combo.
Phantom Strike is a six-hit strike combo that ends in a gradient attack so use gradient counter.
Fieuret Fury is an eight-hit fury combo. Wait for the sound cures to parry or dodge.
Void Slash is an attack where you must use a gradient counter.

Rewards include a Level 21 Lithum weapon for Maelle and a Painted Me Hairstyle for Maelle.
