Clair Obscur Expedition 33 - How to Beat Mask Keeper Boss

There are two Axon’s you need to defeat in Clair Obscur Expedition 33 to further the plot along. One of them is the Mask Keeper! This can be a tricky fight as it comes right after another difficult battle with the Visages, but with our guide you’ll be able to tackle it head on.

How to Find the Mask Keeper in Clair Obscur

The Mask Keeper boss is in the Visages area southwest of the Monolith. Go past the Visages Peak Expedition Flag and it’ll be at the end of the paths. In order to get there, you have to cross two platforms. Then you need to jump between a few more until you find the Visages, which you fight before the Mask Keeper.

It can also be found in the Endless Tower as an emeny for Stage 11, Trial 1.

To be able to fight Mask Keeper, you first need to fight Visages. The fight appears after you defeat Visages. The fight will also go easier if you have defeated the three optional boss masks before going to the main boss.

How to Beat Mask Keeper In Expedition 33

The Mask Keeper has a resistance to Ice but is weak to fire and Dark. Maelle and Sciel will be your best options to fight this boss. Here is a list of the Mask Keeper’s moves to help you better defeat this axon.

Vehement Attack is an attack that slashes at the characters. Keep in mind that they come at different intervals.
Storm Attack has the enemy using a four-hit combo on a party member. It’s in rapid succession.
Fire Sword is an attack where it swings three times followed with a gradient attack.
Ice Sword sees four ice blasts are send towards your characters and it can freeze them.
Chaotic combo is a truly chaotic mess that sends eight hit/slash attacks at your character. The hits had different intervals so parry/dodge accordingly.
Long Swing Combo is a long swing combo. It swings its weapon three times and then thrusts it twice at your character. Dodge when you see the weapon being swung or thrust towards you.
