Visages in Clair Obscur Expedition 33 is a boss that you have no choice but to defeat if you want to continue along the storyline. They are one of the two axons you need to defeat in order to get enough chroma to reach the Monolith! The other axon is, of course, Sirene

How to finds Visages in Clair Obscur

The Visages boss is in the Visages area southwest of the Monolith. Go past the Visages Peak Expedition Flag and it’ll be at the end of the paths. You’ll have to cross two platforms and jump between a few more until you find the Visages. Right after you find them, a cut scene will trigger.

Before you accept the Visages invitation, consider exploring and damaging the three masks first to make the battle easier.

How to Beat Visages In Expedition 33

Keep in mind that Visages has a resistance to Ice but a weakness to Dark and Fire. The best two people to have in your party will be Maelle and Sciel based on the boss’s weaknesses

With that out of the way, let’s touch on the moves!

Determination Mask is a mask which has a 3-hit combo. Parry and dodge accordingly
Doubt Mask strikes five times so try to dodge as it starts each swing.
Anxiety Mask can apply exhaust. The attack itself sees its attacking with a 2 hit combo.
Peace Mask attacks with four blasts. If it connects then it will gain a shield for a total of four.
Confidence Mask attacks with a slam. Make sure to dodge or parry because if it connects, then it will be healed.

Once you defeat this boss you might think you’re done, but no because this isn’t the true axon! Phase 2 is on it’s where you need to beat the Mask Keeper, which is the real axon.
