Code Vein 2 Josee the Blind Hero Encounter Guide

You will face Josee the Blind Hero in Josee’s Outpost in the Sunken City. The fight has two phases, during which Josee uses a multitude of attacks. Recognizing the patterns and knowing how to respond is the key to winning the fight.

Josee the Blind Hero Phase 1

In Phase 1, the boss uses her sword to deliver various attacks. She performs these moves individually, but she can also chain them into combos.

Charged Attack

Josee powers up her sword and deals a slashing attack in a wide area around her. Notice the yellow glow and move away from the boss.

Ground Stomp

The boss raises one leg and stomps the ground. The attack covers the area around her. Dodge to avoid.

Sword Swing

Josee holds the sword in one direction and then swings it in the opposite direction. Dodge in the opposite direction of the swing, which is the initial direction. This is a good time to get behind the boss and land a few hits, as she readies the next attack.

Spider Web AOE

The telegraph for this move is the sword turning yellow. The boss then sticks the sword into the ground, causing AOE areas that look like spider webs. Dodge back to avoid.

Sword Lunge

The boss lunges towards you and leaps to your location. Dodge left or right.

Spin Attack

The boss spins, dealing damage around her. Move away when she starts spinning.

Code Vein 2 Josee Phase 2

Code Vein 2 Josee the Blind Hero Phase 2 begins when the boss is at 50% HP. A cutscene will play between phases. In Phase 2, Josee uses all the attacks from Phase 1, plus some new ones. The boss moves faster and the attacks hit harder. By now, you should recognize the attack patterns and focus on ending the fight as soon as possible.
