Progress into the main story and defeat the Blind Hero Josee boss. If you attempt to follow Josee’s Fading Bond at this point, Lou warns you that the bond is not strong enough and you should focus on other things.

How to Obtain Lise’s Hair Ornament and Activate Josee’s Fading Bond

Take Lou’s advice and turn your attention towards the main quest in the Undead Forest. Follow the story and complete the Slay the Hero Holly objective. Follow the Timeline Shift Decision Holly quest and speak to Monica. Complete Monica’s quest and restore Holly’s fading bond. The next step is to go to the Sanatorium and save Holly. Head to the Hero Holly’s Cocoon objective comes next. Enter the Sanatorium and you will be able to collect Lise’s Hair Ornament from the reception desk. Lou will then mention that Lisa’s Hair Ornament is the key to restoring Josee’s Fading Bond. Return to Josee’s Outpost and you will be able to follow the bond.

How to Save Josee in Code Vein 2

You arrive at Josee’s Outpost to discover that the Bureau has launched an attack on the outpost. The first task is to survive the attack. This is a combat event in which you must fight several enemy waves. Once the event ends, a cutscene featuring Alessandro Gobbo will play. Josee goes berserk and Lou has no other choice than to transport you back in the present.

The next step is to find Lise. Travel to the Sunken City and head south of the eastern tunnel to find a tower. Look for a woman outside the tower if you are having trouble finding the place. Speak to the woman and obtain a key that lets you enter the shelter and collect Lise’s invention.

Go back to Josee’s Fading Bond and witness the cutscene. Your next destination is the Bureau’s castle, which you will find in the southern part of the Undead Forest. Prepare for a boss fight, as you will need to stop Gobbo and Oskar. They share the HP bar, so focus on one of them. Once the duo has been defeated, retrieve Lise’s invention and witness the Timeline Shift Decision Josee quest conclusion.
