Dead Take is a first person horror adventure game where you are searching for your friend in a strange mansion. Part of this requires you to solve puzzles! One of those is the Portrait Puzzles, which is located in the Gallery room.
Read on to learn how to solve this unique puzzle.
How to Solve the Portrait Puzzle in Dead Take
To solve the portrait puzzle, you need to go to the Gallery in the main house. Using the Painting Key go ahead and insert it into a pedestal covered in flowers in the landing, located above the gallery. Once it’s inserted, a book will appear on the pedestal and then four portraits in the gallery below.
Unlocking the Book
The code for the book is 7210. Once it is unlocked, you’ll be able to look at the four stories. You’ll find four portraits called The Dreamer, The Rising Star, Price and Illusion, and the Final Curtain. What is the main goal? What do we do with these portraits? You may ask. Well, our objective is to get the background colour in the paintings to represent their correct colours.
Inspect the paintings and you’ll see there is a lever that changes the background to either yellow, blue, red, and purple. If you read the four pages in the book you’ll know exactly what colors to use to solve the puzzle.
Solving the Puzzle In The Gallery Room
For those that don’t want to struggle with trying to figure out the correct colors to use, don’t worry because we got you covered.
The Dreamer painting needs the yellow background, Rising Star needs blue, Price and Illusion requires red, and The Final Curtain needs Purple. As soon as you have the correct colors chosen you’ll hear a noise which means a new door is open to explore.
So go forth and see what else this creepy and confusing mansion has in store for you. Expect that it might be some more difficult puzzles but this is just a risk you have to take to find your friend!
