Dead Take can be a game filled with some tricky puzzles! During the game your going to come across some VHS tapes which you need to collect, to solve a VHS related puzzle. Which involves collecting the five tapes, from there you will, then, need to put them in a certain order.

How to Solve the VHS Puzzle in Dead Take
This takes place directly after solving the developing the film puzzle. After you have put the film on the digitizer and hit the green button, you’ll find a red flash drive. Grab it and return to the projector room to get a new video.
You’ll have to splice the video Red Herring with Yellow Belly before loading the video. Head to the cinema door and you’ll see some TV’s. A pile of them if you will. Grab the VHS tape (Eleven Lock) hammed into it. Hopefully you would’ve picked the four other tapes in the mansion otherwise you can’t do the puzzle.
Here is where you can find the others:
- Red Valley: Second floor, Torch bedroom, then bathroom, then open medicine cabinet.
- Mbombo’s Reign: First floor, open elevator by the art gallery.
- Machine Play: Courtyard, near the art gallery window by the teddy bear.
- Akazard: Kitchen, lit section of the counter.
Now go to the mountain bedroom on the second floor straight to the memorial shelf that has empty grey slabs. The VHS tapes need to be put in the right order which can be found in the guestbook. Lucky for you we have you covered!
- On the very top shelf goes Eleven Lock in middle.
- Red Valley goes on the second shelf, on the far left.
- Mbombo’s Reign goes on third shelf on far right.
- Machine Play goes on fourth shelf in the middle.
- Akazard goes on the bottom shelf on the far left.
And now your done! With the puzzle, at least.
