Collect all Windswept Dolls

In order to complete the Doll Collector trophy achievement, you need to collect all windswept dolls. Currently, there are nine dolls to find. They’re easy to identify, and look a little bit like the puppets in Gangs of Sherwood.

The Windswept Dolls are only found in the Clouded Forest Region, which makes finding them slightly easier. You can think of them as just another version of the kites from Tethered Kites.

One important thing to note is that the achievement refers to the dolls as Windswept Dolls. Whereas the quest description calls them Shadow Puppets. And for some reason, the lost items menu refers to them as Kame’tire dolls! This is confusing, but just bear in mind that they all mean the same thing.

When you finish Doll Collector, you will be rewarded with 36 points or a silver trophy, depending on the console you play on. Currently, this is one of the least unlocked achievements in the game, because the dolls are so tricky to find.

Collecting all windswept dolls will also help you complete ‘The Dark Theater’ side quest. This quest automatically starts when you pick up the first doll. To complete this quest, just return the dolls back to their owner at the HQ.

Doll Collector Locations

The Dolls for Doll Collector are exclusive to the Clouded Forest Region. With that in mind, here are the locations of all nine dolls:

  • The Sitting Elder. This doll is located south of the Crimson Great Wood. If you explore the area, you should find a waypoint for a Bellsprig. If you explore the surrounding area, you should find a small cave. The Sitting Elder Doll is in this cave.
  • One-Eyed Mother. Located in a tree trunk at the southern end of the Great Stone Swamp.
  • The Abandoned Doll- Located in the forest between the Ensnared Lake and Weary Swamp. You’ll have to drop down a large tree trunk to find it, making it one of the harder dolls to collect for Doll Collector.
  • The Baby Face. To find this doll, first head to The Cut. Head North until you see a massive rock formation. There will be a cave hidden within these rocks, and the doll is tucked away in this cave.
  • The Sprinter. Found in a tree trunk next to a Tarsyu Sapling on the bed of the River of Ancestors.
  • The Follow. Found in a small cave just north of the Nomad’s River. The cave is close to the Memory Painting Waypoint.
  • The Strong. The next doll for the Doll Collector achievement is found on the bank where the Stealth River and Shrewd River meet. It’s pretty close to an enemy camp, so proceed with caution!
  • The Siren. Found just south of The Strong Doll.
  • The Blonde Adonis. Found in the center of the Cradling Pines area. Head south from the enemy camp, and you should run into a fallen tree trunk. The doll will be inside.

Tips for Completing Doll Collector

To make the process of completing Doll Collector a little easier, make sure to follow these tips:

  • Look for Trunks and Caves. You can only find the Windwept Dolls in caves or tree trunks. So make sure to look out for these landmarks as you explore, as it will stop you from checking out irrelevant points of interest.
  • Track Your Progress. You can track your progress toward Doll Collector from the in-game menu. Just go to your journal, select Lost Items and click Kame’Tire dolls. Tracking progress can help you break this achievment down, making it a little more manageable.
  • Use your Na’vi Vision. Whenever you’re looking for the Windswept Dolls, it’s a good idea to use Na’vi Vision. The dolls will light up blue when you’re close to them, making it so much easier to see them in darker areas.
