Doom the Dark Ages Chapter 3 Walkthrough and Guide

The chapter begins with the introduction of the Atlan mechanic. The Slayer rides a mech, allowing him to unleash more destruction on the forces of Hell, as well as other objects that stand in your way. The first task is to Exit the Hangar. Simply charge the three barriers to complete it. During the second task, Defend the Barrier, you will learn how to perform mech Combos and Finishers.

Complete the Rocket Punch and Perfect Dodge tutorials, as instructed. Hold the Finisher button to charge the Rocket Punch ability, allowing you to destroy barricades. The Titans use Hell Surge, an ability you can parry. To execute a Perfect Dodge, perform a dash just as the enemy prepares to do a Hell Surge.

Get to the Power Core

Once you start the Get to the Power Core task, follow the mission marker, killing the enemies blocking the way. This counts as practice for the newly-learned mech moves. It’s a fun part, as you get to smash bridges and take down Titans.

Move the Core

Upon reaching the Core and discovering it’s about to explode, the next task is to relocate it away from the city. The marker shows where you need to go. The goal is to clear the way by defeating all the enemies.

Make sure to use the Supercharge ability. To supercharge the gun, you need to dodge Hell Surges. Once the chain gun starts glowing red, you can activate its power to easily get rid of the enemies blocking your way.

The last fight pits you against a mini-boss. Use the mech’s abilities to defeat it. As soon as you kill it, a short cutscene will play, marking the end of the chapter.
