As you can imagine, this crafting material comes from a Sandworm. If you’ve met them already, you know that killing one is impossible. The only way to get the rare item is to let a Sandworm eat you.
How to Prepare for the Sandworm Encounter – Defeated By Growler
The bad news is that you will die in the process. That’s something you cannot avoid. However, there is one thing you should do before coming face to face with a Sandworm: remove all the equipment. When the Sandworm eats a player, all of their equipped items disappear.
That is the design of the encounter. You cannot prevent it and you cannot get your items back. So, put everything in a storage box before meeting the great worm. The Sandbike has a storage module that you can use.
How to Get Eaten By a Sandworm and Obtain a Dune Awakening Worm Tooth
Sandworms live in the sand. One of the most accessible spots to find one is west of The Anvil in the Eastern Vermillius Gap, but you can find these beasts all over the desert. Sandworms are attracted to sound. So, venture into the open desert and start making some noise by running around. The only thing you have to do is to get the Sandworm’s attention.
You should check your UI for a Sandworm symbol. A Sandworm marker and vibration notification will let you know if you are in danger. Once it notices you, it will rush towards you. Don’t move or run. Just let it eat you and you will eventually respawn outside with the Worm Tooth in your inventory.
How to Create the Unfixed Crysknife
The Unfixed Crysknife recipe is a reward for conquering the Fourth Trial of Aql. Besides the tooth, you will also need one Plant Fiber to craft it. Once crafted, the unique item binds to your inventory. The Crysknife does not have any practical purpose, but it’s a cool Dune memorabilia.
