GreedFall 2 The Dying World Rock Bottom is a side quest in the Eskiara Coastal Region. It’s a quick and easy side quest, but the reward will come in handy later during the main story quest.

How to Start and Complete the GreedFall 2 Rock Bottom Side Quest
Before starting the quest, make sure you have some rope in your inventory. To trigger the quest, progress through The Escape main story quest until you reach the part where you have to track down Ludwig’s contact.
Follow the footprints, but instead of going right, make a left to arrive at the Ruins of an Ancient Civilization. The small path leads to a bandit camp. Clear the camp and approach the campfire. As soon as you hear a voice calling for help, the side quest automatically begins.
Should You Save Eser in GreedFall The Dying World?
The next part of the GreedFall 2 Rock Bottom quest requires you to find the person in trouble.
On the right side of the camp, you will notice a stone ledge. Climb the two ledges and follow the path to the left. As you approach the broken bridge, a cutscene featuring Eser will play. He will ask you to pull him out of the hole in exchange for an Astrian-Style Sculpture.
You have three choices:
- Demand a better reward. This requires you to pass a diplomacy skill check. You will get an extra 200 coins on top of the promised reward and +2 reputation with Ludwig.
- Toss him the rope. You get the Astrian-Style Sculpture as a reward.
- Refuse to throw the rope. You get 400 XP and -1 reputation with Nilan.
The third choice is the worst. With or without the extra reward, choose to help Eser and collect the Astrian-Style Sculpture. You can use this item to help Cen later in the story.
