How to Find the Shard Pendant Tool in Hollow Knight Silksong

Hollow Knight Silksong has a good list of tools that Hornet can use at her disposal. There are over 60 tools she can use, divided into four types, that can either help in combat or aid survival. Pick wisely and they’ll serve you well, provided you can find them. One of these tools is the Shard Pendant, which increases the number of Shell Shards you receive while farming.

Here’s how to unlock it in Hollow Knight Silksong.

How to Get Shard Pendant Tool in Hollow Knight Silksong

The Shard Pendant tool is found within The Marrow.

First, fast travel to the Bone Bottom Bellways and head right until you reach the bench that leads to The Marrow.

Continue to the right and go up to where the Skull Tyrant is. Then head left and jump across a series of platforms until you reach a hole in the ceiling where you can ascend.

You’ll enter a new area with spikes and breakable platforms. Jump across these platforms until you encounter another Skull Tyrant. Go to the platform where the skull enemy is and enter the room on its left. Proceed to the center and interact with the object by tapping ‘Take’ or pressing the up arrow.

What is the Shard Pendant tool in Hollow Knight Silksong, and how does it work?

Shard Pendant is one of the over 60 tools in Hollow Knight Silksong. It is a yellow-type tool that is almost always useful, especially in the early game.

What this tool does is essentially increase the amount of Shell Shards you get from defeating enemies. Enemies often drop Shell Shards when they die, and players can use them to craft or fix Hornet’s tools. When this tool is equipped, players can either increase the drop by one, or even double or triple the number of shards they get. Note, though, that there’s a limit to how many Shell Shards you can keep. At first, you can only carry 400 Shards, but fortunately, you can upgrade to increase the maximum amount you can hold. To do so, players will need the Tool Pouch, which costs a ton of Rosaries.
