The Caught Thief’s Map is a (KCD2) Kingdom Come Deliverance 2 item that guides Henry to a secret treasure spot. Let’s see how you can get the map and loot the treasure!
How to Find the Caught Thief’s Map
Henry can find the map once you start the story quest Back in the Saddle and unlock free roaming in the Trosky Castle. Postpone the main mission and head to the western side of the castle. You will discover several tables where you can play Dice. Notice the soldier NPC named Black Bartosch. You can spot him near the wooden fence. The map is in Bartosch’s possession.
There are two ways to get the map:
- Steal it.
- Buy it or win it.
Steal the Caught Thief’s Map
If you want to get the map the hard way, Henry can pickpocket Black Bartosch. It is no easy task, as several NPCs are nearby. You can wait until they go away and quickly get behind Bartosch to take the map from this inventory.
Make sure to save your game before attempting to steal the map. Chances are you will get caught and it might take several tries to acquire the map.
Buy or Win the Map
If your pickpocketing skill is not that high, interact with Bartosch and ask him to play Dice. He has no money but offers to give you the map as a reward if you beat him.
You have two options:
- Buy the map for 250 Groschen.
- Bet 50 Groschen and win the map.
If you don’t want to spend 250 Groschen, agree to play Dice. The wager is 50 Groschen. Save your game before the match, so you don’t lose the money in case Bartosch beats Henry at Dice.
How to Find the Caught Thief’s Map Treasure
Make your way to the Nebakov Mill. You can use fast travel or take the scenic route. From the mill, go east and follow the left road through the hills. Make a right and go into the woods. Keep going east until you get to the Thief’s Camp location.
A single enemy guards the camp. You can engage in direct combat or take him down with a dagger. Opening the chest is the challenging part. The lock has the Hard difficulty. Save your game, so you don’t waste any lockpicks. You can also pop a Quickfinger potion to increase your Thievery skill.
The chest contains:
- 328 Groschen.
- Two bandages.
- Four Frankfurt steel.
- One Weak Marigold Decoction.
- Engraved Gemstone Ring.
