Vidlak Bandit’s Map is an item in (KCD2) Kingdom Come Deliverance 2 that marks the location of a treasure. Let’s see how to find the map and loot the treasure!
How to Find the Vidlak Bandit’s Map
You will find the map during the Lackey side quest when you need to free the gamekeeper’s horse, Pepik, from the bandit camp. The main mission is to return the horse to its rightful owner, but Vostatek mentions that he wouldn’t mind if Henry could get rid of the bandits once and for all.
Killing all the bandits is an optional objective. However, should you defeat them all, you get more than the huntsman’s gratitude. One of the bandits has the map that leads to the treasure. Also, don’t forget to get the Bandit’s Key to open the chest. The bandit camp has some nice loot, so take your time and grab as much as you can carry.
How to Find the Bandit’s Treasure
The drawing on the map is not that accurate. However, the good news is that the treasure is not far from the camp. From the bandits’ camp, take the southern path that leads to the river. Once you get to the river, keep going south until you get to a fork in the road.
You will notice a tree in the river. As you get close to it, the marker Hollow Tree will appear on the map. There is nothing inside the tree, so ignore it. Go to its roots and search the water. There’s a tin plate and a silver cup in the water. Henry will say there should be more loot and the main treasure must be somewhere downriver. Walk along the river to the southwest and discover the small island. You will notice a chest in the water.
Use the Bandit’s Key to unlock the chest. You can also pick the lock if you want some XP.
The chest contains:
- 300 Groschen.
- Silver cup.
- Tin plate.
- Golden crucifix.
Sell the silver cup and the tin plate, but keep the crucifix. You can store it in a chest or your horse’s inventory. The crucifix is worth 1000 Groschen, but you will have to wait until you find a merchant willing to pay that price. The vendors in the Trosky area don’t have much money. You will come across more merchants as you complete the campaign and unlock the Kuttenberg area.
