Here, you’re required to tack down a pack of wolves that have been bothering the shepherds. Read on to learn how to complete the Sheep Among Wolves side quest.

How to Track the Wolves In Sheep Among Wolves Side Quest

To begin the Sheep Among Wolves side quest, speak to Herdsboy Siegfried north of Tachov. For this quest, you’ll need to utilize the Houndmaster stills that come with having Mutt as a companion. 

After speaking with the Herdsboy, head into the forest. You’ll discover the remains of a sheep along the way. Loot it to pick up the quest item needed to track the wolves. Interact with Mutt and select “Track”, then “Sheep remains”. 

How to Sneak up the Wolves

Mutt will then begin tracking the wolves. Here, it’s important to remember to wear lighter armor since that will make less noise and you won’t risk alerting the wolves to your presence. As you track the wolves, stay close to Mutt, who will growl when you’re close to the wolves. If a wolf spots you, have a bow equipped to deal additional damage before it attacks. Having a sword and shield on you is the best combo in case you’re seen. Do your best to avoid being surrounded by the pack, since they can easily overwhelm Henry.

The overall goal here is to not alert all the wolves at once. You can also use the Sic’em Command to get Mutt to attack wolves as well. Kill the wolves and collect their ears before returning to the Herdsboy to obtain the reward.
