Marvel Cosmic Invasion Challenges – How To Beat All Mission Challenges

Marvel Cosmic Invasion Challenges are optional objectives you can complete alongside the main mission. The rewards from these challenges allow you to unlock hero skins and music tracks.

How to Complete All Marvel Cosmic Invasion Challenges

All 15 missions, except the prologue, include three challenges. Two challenges are tied to a character’s unique moves, while the third one requires you to accomplish a certain combat feat.

Mission Challenges 1-5

New York City: Road to Annihilation

Challenge	How to Complete
Hit three enemies at once with Spider-Man’s Web-Swing kick.	Wait until three enemies gather around, then jump and attack with a Web-Swing.
Defeat 10 enemies with Nova’s Energy Beam.	Use the Energy Beam to deal the killing blow to 10 enemies.
Avoid taking damage from swarming bugs.	Use a hero that has the ability to fly, such as Nova, to remain airborne when fighting swarming bugs.

Genosha: Heavy Metal

Challenge	How to Complete
Defeat 10 enemies with Wolverine’s Feral Throw.	Use the Feral Throw on 10 enemies and defeat them.
Defeat 10 enemies with Electric Bombs.	Fly and hit the Electric Bombs to cause damage and kill 10 enemies.
Free all mutants.	Destroy the cells and release the two prisoners.

Helicarrier: Operation Jailbreak

Challenge	How to Complete
Hit three enemies at once with Iron Man’s Electro-Charge attack.	Wait until three enemies gather around, then hold down the attack key to trigger an electric orb.
As Captain America, toss five enemies into a pit.	Use the Shield Throw to send enemies into a pit during the elevator section.
Defeat 15 enemies with Helicarrier turrets.	Hit the turrets at the top of the Helicarrier to fire at the enemies.

Savage Land: Rumble in the Jungle

Challenge	How to Complete
Defeat five enemies with She-Hulk’s Throw.	Use the Throw ability on five enemies and kill them
Hit five enemies at once with Storm’s special attack.	Wait until five enemies gather around, then use the lightning from above attack.
Avoid taking damage from the dinosaur stampede.	Use a hero that has the ability to fly, such as Storm, to remain airborne when fighting dinosaurs.

Wakanda: Battle for Birnin Zana

Challenge	How to Complete
Defeat the level boss.	Deal the killing blow with Black Panther.
Hit three enemies at once with Captain America’s Shield Throw.	Wait until three enemies gather around, then perform a Shield Throw.
Destroy bug pods before they spawn 25 enemies.	Destroy all the green bug pods you see as fast as possible.

Marvel Cosmic Invasion Challenges 6-10

Blue Area of the Moon: Full Moon of the Insectoids

Challenge	How to Complete
Defeat the level boss.	Deal the killing blow with Wolverine.
Defeat 10 enemies with Nova’s special attack.	Use the AOE explosion to kill 10 enemies.
Avoid taking damage from the bug barricade.	Dodge the tentacles from the wall barricade that appears halfway through the level.

Asgard: Fall of the Golden City

Challenge	How to Complete
As Phoenix, toss 10 enemies into a pit.	Use the Throw ability to send 10 enemies into the pit during the Bifrost section.
Hit four enemies at once with a single tackle from Beta Ray Bill.	Use the sprinting attack during the Bifrost section.
Avoid taking damage from Galactus’ cosmic absorption.	After the Bifrost section, dodge Galactus’ beams.

Destromundo: The Flying Menagerie

Challenge	How to Complete
Defeat the level boss.	Deal the killing blow with Spider-Man.
Hit three enemies at once with She-Hulk’s Sonic Clap.	Wait for three enemies to gather around, then use the Sonic Clap attack.
Defeat five enemies using traps.	Free the pink creatures from jars and they’ll kill nearby enemies.

Klyntar: Return of the King

Challenge	How to Complete
Defeat 10 enemies with Venom’s Throw ability.	Use the Throw ability to deal the killing blow to 10 enemies.
Hit five enemies at once with Black Panther’s special attack.	Wait until five enemies gather around, then use the dash attack.
Avoid taking damage from corruption waves.	The corruption waves are the red pods that appear in symbiote goo.

Hala: The Kree/Bugs War

Challenge	How to Complete
Defeat five enemies with Rocket Raccoon’s grenades.	Use the grenades to kill five enemies.
Defeat 10 enemies with Captain America’s Shield Throw.	Use the Shield Throw to deliver the killing blow to 10 enemies.
Finish the first section undetected.	Avoid being spotted by the drones in the first half of this level. Use a ranged hero to destroy the drones before they spot you.

Mission Challenges 11-15

Sanctuary II: The Great Experiment

Challenge	How to Complete
As Phyla-Vell, perform 10 parries.	Keep spamming the heavy attack ability.
Defeat 10 enemies with Iron Man’s special attack.	Use the cannon blast to deal the final blow to 10 enemies.
Avoid taking damage from the Sanctuary II defense system.	You activate the defense system when passing through one of the two doors. Keep an eye on the ground markings to avoid the attack.

Fort Galactus: Free the Eater Worlds

Challenge	How to Complete
Defeat 10 enemies with Cosmic Ghost Rider’s cosmic machine guns.	Use the machine gun attack to deal the killing blow to 10 enemies.
Hit five enemies with Beta Ray Bill’s Stormbreaker throw.	Wait until five enemies gather around, then perform a Stormbreaker throw.
Avoid taking damage from Galactus debris.	Keep an eye on the ground markings to avoid damage from the flying debris.

Heteropteron: Hell is the Hive

Challenge	How to Complete
Hit five enemies at once with Nova’s special attack.	Wait for five enemies to gather around, then perform the AOE explosion.
As Phyla-Vell, perform five cosmic-charged slashes.	Use the heavy attack on five enemies.
Avoid taking damage from larvas.	This is one of the most confusing Marvel Cosmic Invasion Challenges. The larvas are the spiders that appear in the background. Avoid the goo they spit at you to beat this challenge.

Arthros Citadel: Negative Zone Showdown

Challenge	How to Complete
As Silver Surfer, perform 10 cosmic blasts.	Perform this hero’s signature move 10 times.
Defeat three enemies with Rocket Raccoon’s nuke grenades.	Keep using the grenades to defeat three enemies.
Defeat 10 enemies with help from Galactus.	Tag 10 enemies before Galactus kills them.

NYC Rooftops: The Last Battle

Challenge	How to Complete
Toss five enemies into the pit.	There are several areas throughout this level where you can send enemies into a pit.
Defeat the level boss.	Use Nova to deal the final blow.
Avoid taking damage from Annihilus’ negative rain meteors.	The rain meteors are part of one of Annihilus’ attacks. Avoid them when they appear.
