RE9 Resident Evil Requiem comes with two main endings that you’ll be able to unlock and get. One of the endings is considered the better ending, while the other is… not so great.

How to Get all Endings in RE9 Resident Evil Requiem
There are two endings in Resident Evil Requiem. The Release Eplis Ending is considered the good/secret ending, whilst the Destroy Eplis Ending is the bad ending.
During the finale, you’ll be in the ARK facility in control of Grace at some point in the central chamber. You have the option to either destroy the Eplis or release it. Make sure to save in case you want to go back and see what the other ending will give you!
RE9 Release Elpis Ending – Hope and Requiem
To unlock this particular ending you will need to insert the word, Hope. When prompted with ‘What does the creator desire?’ This will, then, trigger the Release Eplis ending. Which will effectively cure Leon. Grace will be able to use one of the vials from the console to cure Leon of the virus. However, what follows is the final boss battle with Zeno.
After the Leon Vs. Zeno boss fight, you’ll get a cut scene at the end. Grace is back with her job at the FBI, and Leon is alive. Pretty good considering what the other ending is!
Releasing Eplis also gets you the Hope and Requiem trophy.
Destroy Eplis Ending
Similar to the other optional ending, this time you will want to input the word Destruction into the console. The Destroy Eplis ending will effectively lead to Leon’s death, as he isn’t powerful enough to fight Zeno. He succumbs to the illness and eventually is shot by Zeno in the head, shocking Grace. She escapes the facility, but one can’t say she is going to be better off, given what happened. She will likely endure her days with some form of trauma
