After getting the Moon Quartz in RE9 Resident Evil Requiem, you’ll have to get the Sun Quartz. This can be done by solving the Lead Researcher’s Office Puzzle. It’s the only way you can get to the clinic’s courtyard.
How to Solve the Lead Researcher’s Office Puzzle in RE9 Resident Evil Requiem
This puzzle box is located in the Lead Researcher’s Office. When you enter the room and go to the puzzle, you’ll see that there is a padlock keeping you from solving the puzzle. Luckily, there is a way to destroy the padlock.
Destroying the Padlock

To the left of the puzzle is a desk with a note. Read the note. It says that there is a bottle of corrosive from the conference room that will melt the lock right off. It’s not too far, thankfully!

Leave the same way you came in and turn right. There will be a doorway. Make a sharp left in the hallway, past the bodies. Head inside the open door. This is where the conference room is located.
You need to go past the projector and into the adjacent room where you’ll find the bottle of corrosive on a shelf.
Opening the Puzzle Box

Head back to the office. Use the corrosive to melt the lock but then you find yourself with another problem; solving the puzzle. On the desk nearby is a picture. Pick it up. It gives you a clue to how to solve the puzzle.

To solve the puzzle, you need to figure out the two missing symbols. For those who don’t want to bother with the trial and error, input these symbols: Star, Sun, Moon, and Sun.
The puzzle will open to reveal the sun quartz which you need to get to the courtyard. If you have the Moon Quartz, then you are two thirds of the way there!
