Shin Megami Tensei V: Vengeance Talisman Hunt SubQuest takes you across the desert to find three Shikigami Talismans that a demon named Shiki-Ouji has lost. In this guide, we’re covering how to find the talismans and defeat Shiki-Ouji at the end of the quest.
How to Begin the Talisman Hunt SubQuest
To begin the Talisman Hunt SubQuest in Shin Megami Tensei V: Vengeance, find Shiki-Ouji, a demon who resides in the desert southwest of Nagasaki Leyline Fount. Approach him to start a conversation. Shiki-Ouji tells you that he is stuck in a predicament and needs your help.
A pop-up will appear on your screen asking if you’d like to accept the quest. Select “Yes” to continue.
There are three talismans that you will have to find. A strong gust of wind blew them from Shiki-Ouji’s body and towards the mountain you came from. He isn’t able to find them and he asks if you can look for them instead.
Finding the Shikigami Talisman
There are three parts to the talisman and all three locations are marked on your map by gold markers. For the first talisman, turn around and walk left. Circle the mountain and go up the steep hill. Continue following the path deeper into the mountains. The first talisman is on the ground by the cliff face with a glowing purple marker.
After finding this talisman, continue deeper into the mountains and follow your map. You can use the red platforms against the cliff to jump and pull yourself up the cliff. This will help you get to the center of the region, where a small ruined town sits. The second talisman is located in this town on one of the roofs. Find a building with a set of stairs and you’ll see the glowing purple marker on top.
For the third talisman, keep going to the right side of the map. There are enemies dotted here and there, so keep an eye out for them or you’ll find yourself thrust into combat. The third talisman is along the narrow uphill path, next to the cliff face on the left.
Fighting Shiki-Ouji
Retrieve the final talisman and return to Shiki-Ouji. A pop up asks you if you’d like to hand over the talismans. Select “Yes”. His power is restored and he wants to prove his might in combat, so he challenges you.
Shiki-Ouji is a Level 19 with 7,777 HP. Switch between your characters to wear down his health before he defeats you. Once you’ve defeated him, he tells you that he admires your power, which is greater than his. He thanks you and the quest ends. You get the Brute Talisman as a reward.
