How to Get the Modification Station in Subnautica 2

Subnautica 2

Modification Station is one of the important interior equipments in Subnautica 2. It is used to upgrade tadpoles and other equipment and tools. And much like other items in the game, players must first unlock its blueprint before they can use it.

So with that in mind, here’s how to find the Modification Station in Subnautica 2, and how to build it.

How to Get the Modification Station blueprint in Subnautica 2

Head to the Alien Ruins, approximately 1,200 meters east of the Lifepod and 130 meters deep. You will find a giant tower here. To find the Modification Station, look around and find an abandoned base, named Research Outpost.

Enter through this hatch, turn left and make sure to scan everything such as Floor Locker, High Capacity Air Tank, Lab Chair, Power Storage, Processor and more.

To find the Modification Station though, you’ll just need to go through the corridor, and on the next room, you’ll find the Modification Station. Use your scanner to get its blueprint.

How to Build a Modification Station in Subnautica 2

To build a Modification Station, you will need a Habitat Builder and the materials required.

Head back to your base, and use your Habitat Builder to place a Modification Station. Placing one requires the materials:

  • 2x Titanium
  • 2x Copper
  • 2x Celestine

Titanium and Copper are easier to get as these are pretty common in the early game. But as for Celestine, players will have to visit the Alien Ruins, Graveyard, Observatory and other parts of the ocean.

Once you have gathered the required materials, ensure your base has enough power, as advanced crafting stations can quickly drain your energy reserves if you don’t have sufficient solar or thermal generation.
