When building bases in Subnautica 2, one thing you have to take care of is power. There are various ways to generate power, but if you don’t want to cover your entire roof with Solar Panels, you might want to use Bioreactors.
Here’s where to find all the Bioreactor locations in Subnautica 2 and how to craft one.
Where to Find a Bioreactor in Subnautica 2?
To get the blueprint for the bioreactor, you will need to find and scan three of them.
Here are the best locations for it.
Bioreactor location #1
From the Lifepod, head to the Old Habitat, located 361 meters north. Enter through the hole beneath the structure and proceed inside. Move into the next room, then turn left and follow the corridor to the adjacent room. The first Bioreactor can be found on the left side of this room. Use the Scanner to scan it.

Bioreactor location #2
Head approximately 380 meters northeast of the Lifepod to find a large wreck. Swim underneath it and enter through the rectangular opening. Inside, the second Bioreactor can be found next to the Tadpole Fragment. Use the Scanner to scan it.

Note that you can also find Lead in this area.
Bioreactor location #3
For the final location, head to the Chap Blackbox, located approximately 230 meters southeast. Enter through the opening in the structure, then proceed through the red hatch. The last Bioreactor can be found inside.

How to build a bioreactor in Subnautica 2?
The Bioreactor can be built inside a base using the Habitat Builder.
After unlocking the blueprint, return to the base and equip the Habitat Builder. Select the Bioreactor from the build menu and place it in a suitable location.

Building a Bioreactor requires the following materials:
- 2x Titanium Ingot
- 2x Copper Ingot
Ingots are crafted using a Processor. Titanium Ingots are made with three Titaniums, whilst the Copper Ingot can be done using Copper Ore
How to use a bioreactor in Subnautica 2?
To make the bioreactor work, players will need to feed it with biomaterials such as water slugs, food, biofuel blocks etc.
Use the Bioreactor and select the biomaterial you want to use as fuel. There are three modes available: Off, Normal, and Overdrive. Normal mode consumes fuel at the standard rate, while Overdrive mode consumes fuel twice as fast.

For Bioreactors, we recommend using Biofuel Blocks, Crab Feces, Deep Wing Egg Clumps, and Water Slugs, as they provide more power and have longer burn durations than most other fuel sources.
