Where to Find the Collector Leviathan in Subnautica 2

Subnautica 2

There are various predators in Subnautica 2, but nothing is scarier than the Leviathans. Leviathans are not only gigantic. These huge sea monsters will make you feel powerless, either by intimidating you with their size, or by the amount of damage they can deal. One of these leviathans is the Collector Leviathan.

So whether you want to avoid running into it, or want to scan it with your bioscanner, here’s a quick guide for you on where to find the Collector Leviathan in Subnautica 2 and some survival tips!

Collector Leviathan location in Subnautica 2

Collector Leviathan is located near the Alien Ruins base, around 900 to 1100 meters east of the Lifepod.

Luckily, there’s a large distance between the Leviathan and your lifepod, so running into it in the early game is basically impossible.

You’ll have to get past the Graveyard biome to actually meet it. Just move East, and as soon as the water turns from orange to blue, you’ll know that you just entered the area where the Collector Leviathan is. You’ll know that it’s nearby and it has spotted you already when you start hearing the boss music.

The Collector Leviathan is a huge deep-sea creature in Subnautica 2. It moves through dark ocean areas and is very aggressive when it notices the player. It’s known for its massive size, scary appearance, and high damage, making it one of the more dangerous leviathans in the game.

How to Survive the Collector Leviathan

You can use biomods, Tadpole, and hiding techniques to completely avoid the Collector Leviathan.

Bring a Tadpole

If you want to massively increase your chances of surviving, bring a Tadpole. The Tadpole lets you traverse in a much faster space, and this also serves as your shield and bait.

Camouflage biomod

Camouflage is the most useful biomod for surviving the Collector Leviathan. You can stay still to become invisible and then continue moving once the leviathan is off you.

Swimming at the water surface or along the ocean floor

You can also try swimming at the surface or near the seabed, with or without the Tadpole. Somehow, the Leviathan doesn’t seem to notice you at all when you’re in either of these areas.
