How to Get Sulfur in Subnautica 2

Sulfur is one of the most important resources in Subnautica 2. Unlike Titanium, Quartz, and Lead, it is relatively harder to obtain because it is found almost exclusively in high-temperature biomes. But, the grind for it is absolutely worth it as this allows you to craft items such as the Repair Tool, and the Advanced Wiring Kit.

Best Subnautica 2 Sulfur Locations

Sulfur is often seen attached to walls and rock formations, specifically in areas near volcanic activity. Because of that, the temperature here is significantly higher than the other areas. To survive here, you will need the Heat Tolerance trait.

Sulfur location #1

The best early game Subnautica 2 Sulfur location is the stone pillar near the volcanic area. This is 250m Southeast of the Lifepod.

This spot has small and large Sulfur nodes, and to get it, you’ll only need the Sonic Resonator. Unlike other sources of Sulfur, this spot doesn’t require the Heat Tolerance Adaptation. So, if you don’t have it yet and is looking to get some Sulfur for your Power Cells, this should be your go-to spot.

Sulfur location #2

After obtaining the Heat Tolerance Adaptation, you can now farm Sulfur in hotter areas of the map. From the Lifepod, swim or use your vehicle to the nearest Sulfur-rich location. Face 105° East and travel 450 meters.

Go to the tallest rock formation by the center, and pick up these yellow ores.

Sulfur #3

Travel 1450 meters 105 degree East. Once you’re in this spot, you’ll immediately see an orange glowing light. Go inside to find multiple volcanic vents and lots of Sulfur.
