In Subnautica 2, you can acquire different adaptations that can help you survive in this alien ocean planet, and one of these is the Heat Tolerance Adaptation. As the name suggests, this trait allows you to survive high temperatures in hotter biomes.
Here’s how to get Heat Tolerance in Subnautica 2.
How to unlock Heat Tolerance in Subnautica 2
Just like with the Digestive Adaptation, you’ll once again encounter an infected Angel Comb. Cleansing it will grant you a new adaptation.
Before doing this, take note that acquiring this trait requires a tool called Sonic Resonator. You can get it by getting its blueprint, and crafting it on a Fully Functional Fabricator.
From the Lifepod, swim 230 meters northwest. You’ll find an opening that leads to the Angel Comb. Enter it to begin the process.

On either side of the Angel Comb, you’ll find two large Titan Rockbore tendrils. Follow each tendril’s trail and clear the Bloom Node site at the end of it. To do this, use a Sonic Resonator to destroy the glowing Bloom Cankers at each site.

Cleansing also means you will have to constantly deal with the Marrowhead. Note though that you can use your Sonic Resonator to cancel its attack.
When you reach the node, just destroy these glowing cankers that are attached to the branches using the Sonic Resonator.

A prompt will appear, informing you that the treatment was successful. Use this to confirm whether you have already cleared the site.
Destroy all the Bloom Cankers at both sites, then head back to the Angel Comb.

This time, you’ll find Bloom Cankers surrounding the Angel Comb. Just as you did at the Bloom Node sites, use the Sonic Resonator to remove them.

Once they’re cleared, the Angel Comb will open, revealing the Gene Donor. Insert your hand into it to obtain the Heat Tolerance Adaptation.
