Subnautica 2 Strong Acid is a component used in many recipes. You will primarily need it to create Power Cells, one of the Tadpole submarine crafting materials. Let’s see what you must do to obtain it!
How to Craft Subnautica 2 Strong Acid
Strong Acid is a crafted material used to produce:
- Power Cell.
- Entangled Power Cell.
- Fiber Mesh.
- Advanced Battery.
- Dedicated Core.
- Scout Ray Chassis.
- Photovoltaic Charger.
It is obtained from two Necrolei Cysts or one Sulfur and one Gold. Sulfur is easy to get, but you need the Heat Tolerance adaptation to get Gold, so the recommendation is to use Necrolei Cysts in the early game.
Necrolei Cysts Farming Locations
There are two locations close to the Lifepod. While the second location is closer to the Lifepod than the first one, the recommendation is to visit the location near the Old Habitat first to unlock the Processor blueprint. The Processor is the base facility that produces Strong Acid.
Location 1
From the Lifepod, head northeast towards the World Tree Leviathan. Enter the ravine and follow the current to reach the Old Habitat. Enter the base and scan the Processor to register the blueprint. Continue towards the southwest and you will spot the tall plants with purple tendrils next to the trees. The Necrolei Cyst is the blue bulb. Cut the bulb using the Multitool to harvest the Necrolei Cyst.
Location 2
From the Lifepod, turn north and travel for about 240 meters. Once you spot the wreck, dive to 35 meters and look around for the plants. Make sure to harvest all the Necrolei Cysts, as you will need a lot of Subnautica 2 Strong Acid.
