Food and water are an important part of Subnautica 2. It is essential to your survival that you know how to get your hands on some water to replenish your thirst gauge. Salt water is a no-go, obviously, so what you’ll have to do is figure out a way to get yourself some fresh water instead!

How to Get Drinking Water in Subnautica 2

One way you can fill your thirst gauge is by eating water slugs. They can heal your water gauge by 15 points but at the same time, they will lower your hunger meter. Might be a bit difficult to see them at first, but once you get to the bottom of the sea, you will notice the bright and translucent fish. It’s really hard to miss.

If you do need some water and fast, then go ahead. Eat some of the slugs, but you also have the option of making water in Subnautica 2.
