Subnautica 2 Lead – Where To Find Lead Deposits

Subnautica 2

Subnautica 2 Lead is a crafting material needed to manufacture the sonic resonator. This tool lets you harvest large ore chunks, such as silver outcrops.

Let’s see what you must do to find lead deposits!

How to Get Subnautica 2 Lead

Due to its purple color, lead is quite easy to spot. The trouble is that lead is not as easy to find as other materials in the early game. Lead ore is collected from small and large deposits. Small deposits can be harvested right away, but you will need the sonic resonator tool to break large deposits.

Where to Find Lead in the Early Game

There’s only one location close to the Lifepod where you can find Subnautica 2 Lead in the early game. Luckily, it has plenty of veins, allowing you to secure a good supply, enough to cover your starting needs. The recommendation is to visit this location as soon as possible and gather enough lead to craft a sonic resonator.

From the Lifepod, head northeast and travel for about 330 meters to reach a large rock formation. Enter through one of the openings on the right and dive 60 meters. This location has many small deposits. It also has large deposits, so keep this location in mind and return after you craft the sonic resonator.

The next thing you should do is to build a scanner station. This base module allows you to pinpoint the location of various ores. Head 240 meters north of the Lifepod to reach Camp One, where you will find a scanner station fragment. Scan it to unlock the scanner station blueprint.

The necessary materials for the scanner station are:

  • Titanium x 3 – You can find plenty of Titanium close to the Lifepod.
  • Wiring Kit x 1 – This component requires Copper and Silver. Copper is easy to find in the starting area. There are plenty of Silver nodes fairly close to the Lifepod.
  • System Chip – This component requires a Wiring Kit and Quartz. Visit the Coral Domes to find Quartz.

Once you have the scanner station, interact with it and select lead to see the locations of deposits within 300 meters. You should also unlock and build the Tadpole submarine to travel faster and dive deeper.
