Gothic Remake Beasts of Khorinis is a series of quests that allow you to unlock The Anatomaniac trophy/achievement. To start these quests, you must find the Bestiary of Khorinis books and trigger Cavalorn’s quest line.

How to Complete the Gothic Remake Beasts of Khorinis Quests and Unlock The Anatomaniac Achievement
The Beasts of Khorinis quests start when you find the books. To complete the quest, you need to find someone who might be interested in those books. The Anatomaniac trophy unlocks once you deliver all books and complete the associated quests.
Where to Find All Bestiary of Khorinis Books
There are five books to find. Unlike the Chromanin books, there is no particular order in which you must visit these locations.
Bestiary of Khorinis Book 1 Location
The first book is in a house in the small village outside New Camp. From the New Camp entrance, go left towards the house. Enter the house and collect the book from the table. Just make sure the NPC fishing on the pier does not see you. If he spots you entering through the front door, go around the house and enter through the hole in the wall. If he is inside the house, wait until he leaves.
Bestiary of Khorinis Book 2 Location
The second book is in the New Camp. Enter the cave and head right. Go up the ramp on the right, make a left, cross the bridge, turn right, and enter the house to find the second book.
Bestiary of Khorinis Book 3 Location
The third book is in the Orc Camp. Take the main gate and keep to the left. Go along the small canyon and enter the cave. Open the chest to collect the third book.
Bestiary of Khorinis Book 4 Location
The fourth book is in the Swamp Camp. Enter the house next to Shrat and find the book inside.
Bestiary of Khorinis Book 5 Location
The fifth book is in Xardas’ Tower, on the table in the room where you talk to Xardas.
How to Find Cavalorn and Complete the Gothic Remake Beasts of Khorinis Quests
Once you find a book, you can deliver it to Cavalorn to complete the associated Beasts of Khorinis quest. Cavalorn is in a house in the Orc Camp.
Beasts of Khorinis I
For the first quest, Cavalorn tests your knowledge on beasts. The answer is found in the books, so you can read them if you want to find the answer yourself. If you just want to finish the quest, here are the answers:
- First question – Along the upper part of their spine.
- Second question – They amplify their calls.
- Third question – To defend their feeding grounds.
To complete the next quests and unlock The Anatomaniac achievement, you need to deliver beast trophies to Cavalorn. You may have already fought these monsters and collected their trophies.
Beasts of Khorinis II
Cavalorn asks you to bring him the Minecrawler Queen’s glands. You will fight the Minecrawler Queen as part of the Old Mine quests.
Gothic Remake Beasts of Khorinis III
Cavalorn asks you to bring him three Lizard Scutes.
Beasts of Khorinis IV
Cavalorn asks you to bring him a Swampshark’s intact hide and plate.
Beasts of Khorinis V
Cavalorn asks you to bring him a Shadowbeast’s skin. You will fight a Shadowbeast during The Temple of Innos quest.
