Gothic Remake Mud Freak is a trophy/achievement that requires you to listen to everything Mud has to say. He has 24 dialogue lines, but he won’t deliver his last one until you give him a good beating.

How to Unlock the Gothic Remake Mud Freak Trophy Achievement
To unlock the Mud Freak achievement, you must first find Mud and let him tag along. You’ll soon discover that he’s one annoying NPC. Mud interrupts you frequently and he seems unable to keep his mouth shut. However, you do get a Gothic Remake trophy for putting up with him, so it’s all worth it.
How to Find Gothic Remake Mud in the Old Camp
The best time to get the achievement is as soon as you arrive at the Old Camp. You will run around the place to meet all the NPCs and it’s best to let him interrupt you in the relative safety of the camp. To find Mud, from the castle entrance, go left. You will find him sitting on a chair next to Snaf’s cauldron.
Interact with him and agree to let him follow as you explore the Old Camp. To say that Mud is irritating is an understatement. He keeps blocking your way, interrupting your conversations and actions.
You might be tempted to send him away or even kill him. Doing that will lock you of the achievement.
How to Get Rid of Mud and Unlock the Mud Freak Achievement
Don’t leave the camp, as Mud might get killed by beasts. It’s also possible that you will lose him somewhere in the wilderness and he will spawn in the camp dead. Mud has 24 unique dialogue lines. To unlock the Gothic Remake Mud Freak achievement, you need to bear with him until his dialogue lines start repeating. You can now get rid of Mud to unlock his last line and the trophy. Save your game before getting rid of him. Attack Mud and knock him down, but don’t kill him. The guards will not react, so you can attack him in the Old Camp. Keep in mind that he runs away, so you might need to chase him around to knock him flat. You can loot his items if you want.
Once Mud regains his senses, he tells you that he no longer wants to be your friend. That’s his 24th line. The trophy should pop up once he walks away. If you don’t get the achievement, reload the game, and let him follow you around for a bit longer in case you missed a line.
