Gothic Remake True Stranger is a trophy/achievement that requires you to complete the Chromanin quests. To complete this quest line, you need to find and read six books.

How to Unlock the Gothic Remake True Stranger Trophy Achievement
The Chromanin quest line starts when you read the first book. To complete it and unlock the True Stranger achievement, you need to find the other five books. The books appear in a specific order and you need to read the previous book in order to spawn the next. To make things more exciting, Gothic Remake changed the Chromanin books locations, so you cannot rely on your knowledge from the original game.
How to Find the First Gothic Remake Chromanin Book and Start The Stranger Quest
The first book is in the Fog Tower catacombs. You will encounter several skeleton enemies and a skeleton mage, so make sure to prepare for combat.
Enter the tower, go down the stairs and continue down the ladder. Follow the path, turn right, and descend. When the path splits, ignore the left path and go forward.
Follow the path going deeper into the tunnels to reach some sort of altar.
Go left and turn right twice. Go down the ladder and turn left.
Defeat the skeleton mage to obtain the first Chromanin book. Read the book to trigger the Gothic Remake The Stranger quest.
True Stranger Trophy – Chromanin Books Locations
Visit the locations in order. Don’t forget to go into your inventory and read each book after finding it. If you don’t read a book, the next one won’t spawn. Also, you must read the last book to complete The Stranger quest and unlock the Gothic Remake True Stranger trophy.
Chromanin Book 2
The second book is inside a house in the fishing village.
Chromanin Book 3
Enter the fortress, turn right, and continue up the stairs. Exit on the balcony and go around to reach another staircase. Turn right into the room with the painting.
Enter the next room, go right, and then left to reach a room with several bookcases. Crouch, take the stairs up, and then use the ladder.
Drop down and enter the room behind you to find the third book.
Chromanin Book 4
Enter the jail in the Old Camp and go through the door downstairs. Keep descending until you reach another door. Enter the torture chamber and find the Chromanin 4 book on the table.
Chromanin Book 5
Enter the ruins and go up the broken stairs on the left. Drop down, go right, and climb to reach the roof. Turn right and drop down through the hole.
Drop down again and crouch to reach the room where you will find the fifth book.
Chromanin Book 6
The last book is in the same location where you found the first book. Turn right and enter the room next to the stairs to collect the sixth book and unlock the Gothic Remake True Stranger achievement.
