Gothic Remake Double Double – How To Get Syra’s Baron Stew Recipe

Gothic Remake Double Double is a side quest that unlocks a cooking recipe, Syra’s Baron Stew. Syra won’t give you the recipe unless you help her first.

How to Start and Complete the Gothic Remake Double Double Side Quest

To start the Double, Double side quest, you need to find the quest giver, Snaf, in the Old Camp. Head to the northern side of the Old Camp and look around for an NPC next to a cauldron.

Interact with Snaf to trigger the quest.

How to Find Syra and Obtain the Baron Stew Recipe

Snaf wants you to get the Baron Stew recipe from Syra, so your first task is to find her. Enter the castle area and find the training grounds. Close to the training grounds, you will find the kitchen and Syra inside.

Ask Syra for the recipe and she will say no. Explore other dialogue options – ask if you can help her – to trigger the Bully for Bullit side quest. She mentions that a guard named Bullit is bothering her and wants you to take care of him. Leave the kitchen and make your way to the left of the castle entrance to reach the barracks and find Bullit. He tends to wander around the keep at night, so you might not always find him in the barracks.

Give Bullit a beating and tell him to leave Syra alone. Don’t forget to loot him for a battle sword and some ore nuggets. Return to Syra to obtain the Baron Stew recipe.

Return to Snaf to complete the Gothic Remake Double Double side quest. He will ask you to collect the Baron Stew ingredients:

• Carrots. Buy carrots from Dexter at the market.
• Mistcap. You can find Mistcap in the caves near the New Camp.
• Cavern Dewleaf. You can find Cavern Dewleaf in the caves near the Old Camp.
• Raw Meat. Loot it from Scavengers.
• Strong Beer. Buy it from Silas at the New Camp tavern.

Hand over the ingredients and return in a few hours to learn the recipe, allowing you to cook the stew whenever you like.
