The Vanished Warder side quest in Gothic Remake will take you around Old Camp, talking to residents as you try to figure out where Nek has gone off too. You can attempt this quest during Chapter One, Welcome to the Colony
How to Complete the Vanished Warder Side Quest in Gothic Remake
First, go talk to Sly to get the job. Tell him you’ll see what you can do to find Nek, whom he’s been looking for. Sly tells you to go speak with Fletcher, so that’s where you go next.
Go talk to Fletcher. When you ask about Nek, he says that he hasn’t seen him for a while, but suggests that you can go talk to Guy the Digger. Apparently, Guy the Digger knows everyone, so he might know what happened to Nek.
Approach Guy to ask him about Nek and where he went. He doesn’t know much and thinks maybe he ran over to the new camp. Guy thinks it will be a good idea for you to speak with Snaf, who was the last person he saw Nek talking to.
Head to Snaf to ask him if he knows where Nek might be. He’ll say Nek went out the south gate, and he never came back.
Searching for Nek
Go to the Southgate of the old Camp. It will be southwest of this gate. Find the cave which is near some mole rats and go inside. Nek’s corpse will be there. Loot his body, grab the amulet, and head back to Sly.
Sly won’t believe that Nek is dead, so you’ll need to provide the amulet as proof. While you do have the option of lying and keeping it, you won’t be able to finish the quest if you don’t give him back the amulet.
The reward for returning the amulet to Sly and proving Nek is dead is 250 XP.
