Gothic Remake The Price Of Magic – How To Unlock Rune Magic

Gothic Remake

Gothic Remake The Price of Magic is the quest that unlocks rune magic. It’s a short quest, but you might have trouble finding the required items.

Let’s see what you must do to complete this quest!

How to Start and Complete the Gothic Remake The Price of Magic Quest

Head to the Old Camp and interact with Torrez, the quest giver.

Choose the “I have a letter for the Fire Mages” dialogue option to trigger The Price of Magic quest.

How to Find a Blank Parchment and Wolf Claws for Torrez

To complete the quest, you need to find a blank parchment and two wolf claws for Torrez. The game doesn’t tell you where to find them, but luckily both items are easy to come by. They just have different names.

Blank Parchment

Head to the western side of the Old Camp and talk to Graham. Select the “I want to buy a map” dialogue option and buy a parchment from Graham. Notice the quest update notification informing you that you have acquired one of the items needed for the Gothic Remake The Price of Magic quest.

Wolf Claws

Head towards the southern exit and find Mordrag. Ask him to show you the goods and buy two Wolf’s Fangs from him. If you’d rather save your money, explore the surrounding woods and you’ll find plenty of wolves to kill and obtain the quest items yourself.

Return to Torrez and hand in the Blank Parchment and the Wolf Fangs. As a reward, you can unlock Rune Magic in exchange for 5 LP. Next, you can choose a healing rune or a firebolt rune. The healing rune restores HP. The firebolt rune deals ranged damage. The choice is yours, however, considering that you already have several other healing consumables, the firebolt rune may be the better choice. Completing The Price of Magic quest also unlocks Torrez as a vendor, allowing you to buy spells and scrolls.
