In Chapter Two of Gothic Remake, you’ll be able to access the Minecrawler Nest Quest. It begins after you finish the Almanac quest. Start it by talking to Cor Kalom.
How to Complete the Minecrawler Nest Quest
After talking to Cor Kalom, go to the training area in the Swap Camp. You’ll have to speak with Cor Angar. Let him know that you want to fight Gor Na Dun. At the battle arena, go defeat him. He’s pretty slow, so take advantage of that.
Once he is defeated, you can go back to Cor Agnar, who will send you to Lester at the Old Mine, but not before teaching you the extract secretion skill, which lets you harvest Minecrawler Mandibles.
Getting to Old Mine
At the Old Mine, go to the bottom. Near the Orc is Lester. Speak with him, and he’ll tell you that he has a plan to head into the Minecrawler Nest, but first, you’ll need the help of some Templars since the cavern is blocked by rubble.
The three templars that will help you are Gor Na Kosh, Gor Na Vid, and Gor Na Bar. Gor Na Kosh and Gor Na Vid are nearby. You passed them on your way to get to Lester. Find them near a hut. Talk to Gor Na Kosh and say you need their help. He will help once you ask. Gor Na Vid will help if you give him a swampweed roll.
Gor Na Bar is three floors above where you are. Look for the tunnel of Minecrawlers. Talk to him, and he will help only with 4 Minecrawler Mandibles, where your new skill comes in handy.
Getting the Cog
It’s time to talk to Ian so you can open the tunnel. He is above where Gor Na Bar is located. Talk to him, and he wants you to find a cog. Then head three floors below where you found Ian, and find the tunnel guarded by a guard. Go to the bottom and to the right of the ladder to find the cog.
But even after you bring the cog back to Ian, he still refuses to help you.
The Minecrawler Nest
The only way to get to the nest is to go back to the entrance and talk to Lester. Follow Diego who will talk to Ian. Finally, Ian agrees to help. Now go back to the bottom of the mine. Talk to Asghan. You will find the blocked gate there which you need to get rid of.
Fight the Minecrawlers which attack once the entrance is free. When you get to the end, there is a Minecrawler Queen to fight. First phase is when she doesn’t move around. Avoid the acid she spits and attack, preferably, with a one handed weapon. Hit, dodge, and roll is your friend.
Then the second phase hits. She’ll run off, so follow. This time she moves around. Keep dodging and go around to attack her tail. Ranged weapons are useful during this phase. Once defeated, grab her egg and pheromone gland from her body. Take these to Cor Kalom to finish.
