One of the necessary materials that you’ll probably spend so much time looking for in the early game is Quartz in Subnautica 2. Quartz is a material required to make Glass, Scanner, Flashlight, Solar Panel, Hatch, Windows and more.
If you’re struggling in finding it, we’ve got you covered. Here are the best locations where you can farm Quartz in Subnautica 2!
How to Get Quartz in Subnautica 2
The best way to find Quartz in Subnautica 2 is to search inside Coral Domes. Swim through an opening in the dome and collect the nodes attached to the interior walls. For most of the early game, you won’t need a Sonic Resonator to gather them.
Quartz location #1
From the lifepod, face southwest and swim around 240 meters (near Wander Blackbox) until you find a giant Coral Dome. Especially for the early game, this is best option that you have if you want to farm lots of Quartz.
Enter through any hole, and pick up all those Quartz on its inner surface.

There’s a huge abundance of Quartz in this dome alone that you’ll probably have to go back here more than twice just to collect all of it.

Quartz location #2
Another great location for the early game is to go to 260m North.

In this part of the ocean, you will come across several Quartz Nodes. Use the Sonic Resonator to break them.
