Remnants of Chaos is a bonus mission in The First Berserker: Khazan. This quest unlocks an optional boss, Tanya. Whilst, ultimately, also achieving The Hidden Laboratory trophy. Let’s see what you must do to complete the mission!
How to Start Remnants of Chaos
This bonus mission becomes available after completing the main quest Strange Melody in the Rovelion Imperial Theater in the Heart of Pell Los. Once you have finished the main mission, talk to Tristan.
After the conversation, make your way to the Ruins of El Ravaca. This is the place you need to explore. It has three levels and a boss waiting for you at the end.
How to Complete Remnants of Chaos
From the Ruins of El Ravaca portal, go down the stairs and around the broken wooden stair to destroy the Soulstone. Go back to the starting point and access the purple teleport platform to reach the first level.
First Level
Make a right and loot the three Poison Resistance consumables. Go towards the arch and take the Unstable Soul Tearstone from the dead body. Be careful, as spider enemies will come out of the arches. Defeat the waves of Fang Spiders, Pincer Spiders, and Huntsman Spiders.
The last enemy is an elite that drops set items. Once the enemies are dead, use the lever, and go back to the room with the teleport platform to reach the second level.
Second Level
Search the left side of the room to find a chest containing the Cutthroat’s Ring and Necklace of Strikes. Follow the glowing tubes to find the collectible item, Elamein’s Diary.
In the next room, you will face several enemies that drop materials and a weapon. Make sure to loot any other consumables in this area before using the lever. When you are ready to proceed to the next level, access the teleport platform.
Third Level
Tanya’s Research Document 3 is right in front of you, so you cannot miss it. Go left and up the stairs to encounter an Undead Assassin enemy. Attack the wall on the left at the end of the hallway to enter the secret area and obtain the Unending Tragedy Scroll and Augment of Wisdom.
Destroy the jar in the left corner to find a Jarling. Now, return to the starting point and go through the double doors to meet the optional boss, Tanya.
How to Defeat Tanya
Tanya uses the following attacks:
- Beam Attack. The boss fires one beam from each tentacle.
- Three Strikes. The boss uses her wings to deliver three fast attacks.
- Aerial Attack. The boss flies up and performs a dash attack.
She will combine these attacks in quick combos. Make sure to dodge and use Tanya’s recovery moments to land some hits. The mission ends once the boss is down. Interact with Tristan to watch the cutscene. After the cutscene, you will receive Elamein’s Ring and unlock the trophy.
