The Sinking City 2

The Sinking City 2 Strange Statue Puzzle in the Abandoned Office is a story-progression objective in Chapter 4, Time and Tide. You must solve this puzzle to obtain the Heart of Ice. Let’s see where you can find the Cryptic Riddle and how to decipher the clues!

How to Solve The Sinking City 2 Strange Statue Puzzle in the Abandoned Office

Progress through the Fish Market and discover the Frozen Statue in the Cold Storage area. Add it to the Investigation panel and continue playing. You will return to this location after solving the Strange Statue puzzle and collecting the Heart of Ice. Progress through the game and obtain the Antikythera. Go to Ma Fishface and witness the cutscene. Return from the dream sequence and collect the Heart of Stone and the Cryptic Riddle note from the safe.

How to Decipher the Cryptic Riddle and Complete the Strange Statue Puzzle

Open the Investigation panel to connect the Frozen Statue and Cryptic Riddle notes. Interact with the Strange Statue and select the Heart of Stone. The statue will grow arms. To solve The Sinking City 2 Strange Statue Puzzle, you must shoot the statue’s arms based on the clues from the Cryptic Riddle note:

  • Shoot the arm holding the kneeling woman (mother’s prayer).
  • Shoot the arm holding the squid (the sea).
  • Shoot the arm holding the Deep One (a god to bend the knee).
  • Shoot the arm holding the hourglass (time).
  • Shoot the arm holding the jar (hold the spark).

Shooting the statue’s arms doesn’t consume ammo, so don’t worry about that. Once you’ve shot the correct arms, the statue in the Abandoned Office will crumble, allowing you to collect the Heart of Ice. Return to the Cold Storage and place the Heart of Ice in the Frozen Statue to continue the story.
