Use Every Athra Surge

To complete the Warrior Within trophy achievement, you simply need to use every Athra Surge in the game.

An Athra Surge is a powerful ability available to Sargon. However, you can only execute it when the Athra Meter is at the right level. Athra surges are the most powerful abilities in the game, and there are currently ten to find across the map.

To complete Warrior Within, it’s important to note that you have to use each ability, so simply finding them isn’t good enough. To equip an Athra Surge, simply head to the in-game menu, and scroll to the ‘Athra Surges’ tab. From here, you’ll be able to swap out your equipped Athra Surges. Then to use one, simply fill up your Athra Meter and then press your mapped key/button!

The Warrior Within achievement is worth 30 points/a silver trophy. It’s required for 100% game completion. Luckily, it is an unmissable achievement.

How to Complete Warrior Within

To complete Warrior Within, you need to find all ten Athra Surges. You can find some Surges hidden around the map. For others, you’ll need to defeat certain enemies. Some Surges are also tied to the main story, and can only be unlocked by completing certain missions.

Here are the locations for every Athra Surge in Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown, grouped by level.

Level One Athra Surge Locations for Warrior Within

You’ll find the level one Athra Surges needed to complete Warrior Within in the following locations:

  • Verethrangna’s Smite. Automatically unlocked at the start of the game.
  • Wind of Sistan. Found in the Depths of Mount Qaf. Simply talk to the skeleton by the bug nest and he will gift you the Surge.
  • Shahbaz’ Spirit. Located in the Sacred Archives. Head to the centre of the area and you’ll find the Alternate Sargon. Defeat him to unlock the Athra Surge.
  • Vayu’s Wave. Unlocked after completing the Artaban’s first nine combat challenges. This is one of the easier Athra Surges to unlock for Warrior Within.

Level Two Locations

You’ll find the level two Athra Surges needed to complete Warrior Within in the following locations:

  • Bahman’s Breath. Unlocked after talking to any Wak-Wak tree in the Hyrcanian forest.
  • Hadhayan’s Might. Found in the Soma Tree area of the map. To unlock it, you’ll need to defeat two Alternate Sargons simultaneously. This is a tough battle and you should come with your best gear.
  • Arash’s Ray. Unlocked after defeating an Alternate Sargon during the “Tiger and the Rat” story quest. It’s one of the easier Surges to find.

Level Three Locations

You’ll find the level three Athra Surges needed to complete Warrior Within in the following locations:

  • Soul of Gilgamesh. Found in the Pit of Eternal Sands, close to the Wak-Wak tree toward the left side of the area. After travelling to the right area, you’ll notice that a section of a wall can be destroyed by using your Dimensional Claw ability. Destroying the wall will initiate a fight with an alternate Sargon. Defeat it to unlock the Surge and progress through the Warrior Within achievement.
  • Rashnu’s Judgement. The penultimate Athra Surge is unlocked after you defeat Menolias in the sixth-story quest.
  • Bahamut’s Rage. Finally, Bahamut’s Rage is unlocked during the same quest. Simply defeat Orod, and you will be rewarded with the last Athra Surge.

It’s important to remember that you’ll only make progress towards the Warrior Within achievement by using each Athra Surge. As such, it’s a good idea to equip each Surge as you unlock it. This way, you’ll progress through the achievement efficiently, and you’ll also be able to find the right Surge to fit your playstyle.
