Wuchang Fallen Feathers Dhutanga Boss Guide

You will come across the Master Raider Man-Eating boss early into the game, when adventuring into the Lightzen Temple. This is the first boss fight that poses a serious challenge. The Master Raider does more damage than other enemies you’ve encountered so far. However, killing him isn’t too difficult as long as you pay attention to a couple of things. If you’re familiar with Souls-like games, you know that dodging is the key to winning most fights. This boss makes no exception.

Encounter Strategy

The enemy has a couple of combos that deal significant damage. You can easily die if you take too many hits. Luckily, the attacks have telegraphs. Keep a close eye on his weapon to know when to dodge. In the beginning of the fight, focus on dodging and learning the attack patterns. Dodging doesn’t just keep you alive, it also builds up Skybound Might, allowing you to use spells.

The easiest way to damage the boss is to get behind his back. Wait for him to jump or lunge at you and then dodge forward to position yourself behind the boss. This move staggers the boss, allowing you to land a couple of hits. When he recovers, move away from the boss and wait for another jump or lunge to repeat this strategy.

At 50% HP, the boss sets his weapon ablaze and does some fire-based attacks. It might be harder to get behind him in this phase, so use Vorpal Blade attacks whenever you can. Keep your distance while the boss performs his moves and hit him in between attacks. Towards the end of the fight, you can do an Obliterate Strike for more damage.
