Mystery Gates Riddles are Wuchang Fallen Feathers puzzles found behind red doors. Picking the correct answer unlocks the Sage trophy. However, choosing the wrong answer has benefits as well.

Wuchang Fallen Feathers – Mystery Gates Riddles Solutions

Throughout the game, we can find three of these red doors/gates. Each time you interact with one, you are presented with a riddle and two possible answers. Choosing an answer unlocks the door and prevents you from interacting with it again. If you choose the correct answer, you unlock the Sage trophy achievement. If you choose the wrong answer, you are teleported to a secret area. Keep in mind that you can make a backup save and explore both options. However, you cannot get both rewards in the same playthrough, so you will eventually have to make a choice.

Tang Palace Red Door Solution

Directions: From the Corpse Pits shrine, go along the main path, keeping to the left, and you will see the red door before the Tang Palace Maid boss. If you pass the point of no return in Mt. Zhenwu, this gate is no longer accessible.

Riddle Solutions:

• Correct answer: The winged ascension. Reward: Benediction Sheng – Lasting Alacrity.
• Wrong answer: Feathered transcendence.

Picking the wrong answer teleports you to an area where you fight an enemy and obtain some resources. You will also meet the Boatman, an important NPC who gives you Li Jiao’s Fang, a unique weapon, later in the game. If you want to collect all the weapons, the safe choice is to select the wrong answer to ensure your further interactions with the Boatman.

Wuchang Fallen Feathers Mystery Gates Riddles – Hillswatch

Directions: From the Hillswatch shrine, turn around, cross the bridge, and look for the door on the left. If you pass the point of no return in Mt. Zhenwu, this gate is no longer accessible.

Riddle Solutions:

• Correct answer: Challenge the threads of fate. Reward: Bridal armor set.
• Wrong Answer: Follow the course of destiny.

Picking the wrong answer whisks you away to Mort Grotto, where you can collect a Red Mercury. Go for the right answer, as you can discover Mort Grotto later while exploring.

Wuchang Fallen Feathers Bo Capital Red Door Solution

Directions: The gate is to the left of the Depths of the Capital shrine.

Riddle Solutions:

• Correct Answer: The grand dream fades. Reward: Lustrous Red Feather.
• Wrong Answer: The wheel turns anew.

Picking the wrong answer takes you to the Shrine Dwelling. This is a key area where you can find a Bamboozling, the secret boss Demon of Obsession, and two Faces of the Past statues. The secret boss spawns only if you’ve completed Fang Yao and He Youzai quest lines and defeated the White-Robed Elder. This is also the area where you obtain the Ring of Samsara – Rebirth, a mandatory item for two game endings.
