In this guide, we’re covering how to get into each Surveillance Station, where to find the induction cells, and how to defeat the Tacet Discords and Exils in the Restart the Radar Side quest in Wuthering Waves. By following this guide, you’ll help the engineers restart the radar and have the quest completed in no time.
Beginning the Wuthering Waves: Restart the Radar Quest
To begin the Wuthering Waves: Restart the Radar Quest, go to the marker northeast of the Rearguard Base. The description for the quest informs you that the Jinzhou military wants to restart the radar at Desorock Highlands but the head engineer hasn’t shown up. Once you arrive, speak to the upset soldier to begin the quest.
Your next objective is to search for the missing engineer. Go to the marker and you’ll find 4 Tacet Discords attacking someone in the sentry tower. You’ll have to defeat all four, which can be done by switching between characters and using their most effective attacks. Afterward, talk to the man at the top of the tower. He is the missing engineer and he asks for your help in restarting the radar.
The 1st Surveillance Station
Next, head to the 1st Surveillance Station marked on your map and speak to He Chou and Qiuwang. They can’t get into the Surveillance Station and you’ll have to find a way in. Go up the stairs on the right side of the building to get to the room. There is a crumbled part of the roof that you can use an attack on to break it. After falling into the station, use the box on the wall to the right of the gate to open it.
Now that you’ve unlocked the Surveillance Station, you can place the induction cell in its rightful place. The cell is a glowing blue rectangle on the floor and it needs to be placed into the box on the wall right next to it. A circle at the bottom right of your screen highlights which hotkey you can use to pick up the induction cell, which varies per platform. Once you pick it up, place it in the box to complete this objective.
The 2nd Surveillance Station
Head to the 2nd Surveillance Station marked on your map. The induction cell for this station is missing and you’ll have to investigate the nearby Exil camp to find it. When you enter the camp, you’ll be thrust into combat. You’re up against 4 Exils and once you defeat them, you can continue searching. There are three possible locations for the induction cell marked on your map. The induction cell is located in the dumpster on the right.
Once you have it, press the corresponding buttons to carry it back to the station. Place it in the box on the wall.
The 3rd Surveillance Station
Head to the 3rd Surveillance Station. When you arrive, you’ll see glowing gold cracks on the wall and you’ll have to break the fissured ledge to get inside the station. To break the fissured ledge, turn around and go left towards the cliff. There are gold glowing rocks there that you can pick up. Bring the rock back to the cracks and throw it at the wall. This will destroy the wall so you can get inside.
The induction cell is straight ahead and the box is on the right. Place it in the box. Before the cutscene can play, you’re attacked by four Tacet Discords. Defeat them and go back into the station to finish the objective.
Restarting the Radar
Head back to the radar station when you’re done and you can finally restart the radar. Walk up to the radar marked on your map and activate it. Once you finish speaking to He Chou and Qiuwang, the quest ends.
