In today’s guide, we’re covering Ys: The Oath in Felghana Helping Aida Side Quest. This specific quest involves helping Aida. A woman that is located over in Redmont. She will ask us to find and collect a keepsake from her grandson Bob. We will be rewarded with a Nightfire Gem.
Starting Helping Aida Side Quest
To start this side quest, you must first find Aida. She is an older woman located in her home on the lower level of Redmont. She’s near the water and inn. However, you’ll first have to explore the Abandoned Mine before she talks to you, otherwise she’ll just ask you to leave. She simply tells you that she wants a keepsake of her grandson, Bob, but that is all the information you have to go by.
Find a Keepsake
You can find a keepsake of Bob’s in the Quarry, which you may have already explored. The keepsake, a pendant, is in an area that you couldn’t reach your first time here. Return to the Quarry and go right until you come across the main mining shift. From there, drop to the very bottom and go right, to the exit. When you reach the next room, head up the stairs on the left. Continue left until you reach a collapsed bridge.
To get across the bridge, use the Ventus Bracelet to jump the gap. If you’ve already unlocked the double jump ability, you can use this instead. However, if you have neither, you won’t be able to reach Bob’s Pendant on the other side.
Give Aida Bob’s Pendant
Once you have the Pendant, return to Aida in her home in Redmont. This time, she is with a girl named Elena. Give Bob’s Pendant to Aida and you’re rewarded with the accessory the Nightfire Gem which illuminates dark environments.
