Ys The Oath In Felghana – Tigray Quarry Guide

Tigray Quarry is the first main Ys the Oath in Felghana area. This zone provides a great opportunity to get familiar with the game’s mechanics and acquire valuable items to help in your journey.

Ys the Oath in Felghana Tigray Quarry Walkthrough

The Entrance Area

You can quickly reach the Tigray Quarry’s entrance by walking straight from Redmont Town. Several Guffs and Riez enemies are blocking the way. Before entering, activate the Travel Monument and talk to Paul. Proceed inside and follow the path leading to a staircase. Go down the stairs, killing all the monsters you encounter. They are not hard to defeat and give great XP.

Reach the bottom of the stairs and go left to save at the Travel Monument. Then, take the right path and go deeper into the Quarry. You will end up in a large room filled with enemies. Clear the room and loot the chest for Raval Ore. Take the stairs up and make a right. You will come across a new type of monster, the Kayron. Keep going right and collect the gold from the pot. Now, take the stairs down.

The Tigray Quarry Storehouse

You will run into Dewey, who tells you about enemies that can only be hurt if you have the item from the Tigray Quarry Storehouse. He gives you the key to the Storehouse.

To reach the Storehouse, you must go back to the Travel Monument. Take advantage of this return trip and kill all the enemies on your way back to farm XP. Unlock the Storehouse and trigger the first boss encounter.

Defeat Dularn and enter the next room. Open the chest and collect the item Dewey spoke of, the Ignis Bracelet. Leave the Storehouse, use the Travel Monument to save the game, and retrace your steps to Dewey. Once again, take your time and defeat all the enemies to amass XP.

The Mozuk Encounter

Notice the stairs near Dewey. Now, you can access them. Take the stairs down and search left to find some gold in a pot. After a pack of Radel and Kayron enemies, you will run into the enemies Dewey warned you about. Mozuk monsters are resistant to physical damage. Put the Ignis Bracelet to use and make quick work of them.

How to Collect the Ruby

Make a right after defeating the Mozuks and keep going until you reach the waterfall. Jump over the gap and go down, defeating the enemies that stand in your way. Make a right and enter the next chamber. Notice the rocks in the upper left corner. Jump on them and walk until you see the unlit torch. Use the Ignis Bracelet to light the torch and open the nearby chest to find a Ruby.

This gem is used to upgrade the bracelet and allows you to recover mana faster.

How to Find Mayor Edgar and Collect the Moonstar Statue

Go down the stairs and interact with the Travel Monument. You will soon run into Mayor Edgar. It’s a good idea to save your game before going into the next room. When you feel ready, proceed inside the chamber and deal with Ellefale, the Azure Queen of Death.

It’s a challenging fight that may take you a couple of tries. Once the boss is down, you can collect the Moonstar Statue. The Tigray Quarry is now complete and you will be automatically transported to Redmont Town.
