Chaos or Order is an Assassins Creed Shadows side quest that tasks you with killing bandits. This mission is similar to Out to Pasture, however, bandits in Yamashiro are harder to find than in Izumi Settsu. Let’s see where you can find them!
How to Start Chaos or Order
Take the Kyoto Kakurega fast travel point and make your way south to meet the quest giver, Hatakeyama Yoshimasa. He will tell you that bandits are giving the locals a hard time.
Your task is to set things right by killing 100 bandits. Getting all the kills will take some time. You won’t find many bandits on the roads of Yamashiro. The best places to farm bandits are the camps in the wilderness.
How to Complete Chaos or Order
The quest has three milestones:
- Kill 25 bandits.
- Kill 50 bandits.
- Kill 100 bandits.
Each time you complete a milestone, you will receive a reward.
Milestone rewards:
- 25 bandits: 500 XP and 750 Mon.
- 50 bandits: 500 XP, 375 Silk, and 270 Leather.
- 100 bandits: 750 XP, 300 Tamahagane, and 300 Ironsand.
The final reward includes 1250 XP and 2000 Mon.
Bandit Locations in Yamashiro
Kikori Camp
Kikori Camp is on the northern side of the Hills of Meeting. This is one of the best places, as you will find many bandits here. They are stronger than the bandits in other areas, so prepare for challenging encounters.
Hills of Meeting
You can find several bandit camps in the Hills of Meeting.
Search the area north of the Jizo statue, as well as the vicinity of the Pagoda of the Hills.
Another place to find bandits is the southern side of the Hills of Meeting, close to the water.
Travel southwest of the Kiyomizudera Pagoda to find some bandits harassing a merchant. Save him and he will reveal a secret.
The Forsaken Pagoda
You will find bandits at the base of the tower.
Deserted Outpost
You may find bandits at the Deserted Outpost near the Little Leaf Glade. There aren’t many enemies here, so only visit this location if you happen to be in the area while working on other quests.
