There are a number of side quests in Assassins Creed Shadows. Some of them have you meeting people that will eventually become your allies. A Blade in the Dark is one of those quests where you meet a future ally, by the name of Yagoro, who will aide you in your overall quest.

How to Start A Blade in the Dark In Assassins Creed Shadows
This quest is first unlocked after you find a corpse at Maniden Hall, Harima. It’s automatically unlocked through the main story progression so understand that it will become available eventually!
After finding the quest marker go to the area and discover the dead body. All you have to do is interact with the body, forcing you to track the killer. Your quest takes you to Hideyoshi Camp. After finding the killer, you end up having to chase him.
Once he stops you get to choose between two choices of dialogue: You have Potential or You are Sloppy. Choose whatever fits your fancy! Eventually, you will end up having to duel the shinobi as well as a Samurai who you can kill.
Meeting Yagoro Trophy Achievement
Once everything is settled, go talk to the shinobi. You get a choice of saying it is a symbol or it is a weapon. Then comes the next dialogue option which wants you to choose between serve other or self-discipline. It doesn’t really matter what you choose
This marks the end of a blade in the dark and will also net you the achievement or trophy The Eager Assassin AKA Meet Yagoro. Pretty great that finishing the quest also lets you gain another trophy for your collection!
