Black Long’s Attack Patterns
The Black Long has five different attacks, ranging from melee attacks to charged attacks. If you’re standing a good distance away from the boss, it’ll try to jump on you. Dodge as it leaps in your direction. From mid-range, the boss will slam its maces together, creating an electric current. This attack will spread, forcing you to jump over the electricity.
In another charged attack, the boss will slam its maces into the ground, creating multiple electric waves. Avoid these attacks by jumping over the waves of electricity until it stops. There are also some rocks scattered around the battle area that you can get on to avoid the attack.
In its last two attacks, the boss will use its maces during close-range combat. It will either do a double or triple combo. In the double combo, it will swing its maces at you twice. You can parry or dodge the attack. In the triple combo, the boss will swing at you three times. Just like the previous one, you can dodge or parry these attacks.
Strategies to Defeat Black Loong
In order to defeat Black Loong, memorize its attack patterns and use your spells to gain an advantage. This boss usually leaves a window of opportunity after its attacks since it’s slower. Whether you’ve dodged or parried its attacks, the boss takes a moment to prepare for the next one. Use this time to attack it from the side or behind, dealing as much damage as you can. You can also do a heavy attack to cancel out Black Loong’s attacks.
