The Clair Obscur Expedition 33 Blue Mushroom is a quest item you will need for Karatom’s side quest. The Gestral needs this item to complete his creation. Let’s see what you must do to assist him and unlock a new costume for Gustave!
How to Start Karatom’s Blue Mushroom Side Quest
The side quest is available as soon as you arrive at the Gestral Village. Talk to Karatom to start the quest. The inventor will tell you that he needs a powerful gunpowder. Gustave believes that the spores of a blue mushroom could help.
Since you offered the suggestion it falls upon you to retrieve the mushroom in question. Make sure to finish this side mission before completing the main quests in the Stone Wave Cliffs zone.
How to Find the Clair Obscur Expedition 33 Blue Mushroom
First thing first, you need to learn Esquie’s password, so you can leave the village. You might think that the quest item is somewhere around the village, but it’s actually in Esquie’s Nest. To access this location, you need to win the tournament by defeating four adversaries. Once the battles are won, exit the village.
Blue Mushroom Location
Go north through the tunnel and arrive at a large area. Make a right and go past the Mime boss. Look around and you will notice the glowing mushrooms. Collect the quest item and use the handholds to go back up.
Return to Karatrom and hand in the mushroom. This is the final piece of his creation: the Ultimate Sakapatate. The next part of the quest requires you to defeat this enemy. You are familiar with these creatures from the Ancient Sanctuary. Karatrom’s variant has the same attacks, but it is harder to defeat. However, the strategy remains the same. Build Overcharge and break it to inflict extra damage. You shouldn’t have any trouble killing this enemy.
After defeating the Karatrom’s Sakapatate, you will receive three Chroma Catalysts, one Recoat, and the Pure outfit for Gustave.
