Clair Obscur Expedition 33 Characters are party members that join your team. Unlocking all characters rewards you with the Expedition 33 trophy/achievement. Let’s see how you can collect them all!
How to Recruit All Clair Obscur Expedition 33 Characters
There are six playable characters. They will become available as you complete main story missions. Each character has a unique fighting style. You can only have three characters in your party at a time.
Gustave, Lune, and Maelle
Gustave
He is the game’s protagonist. This character is available by default from the start, however, at one point, another character takes his place. Gustave’s fighting style combines sword and pistol attacks. Through his attacks, Gustave builds Overcharge, which he then unleashes on the target for significant damage.
Lune
Lune becomes a playable character in the first game zone, Spring Meadows. She is a magic user who relies on the power of the elements. Stain is her unique fighting style, through which she stacks elemental icons, powering up her attacks.
Maelle
Maelle joins the party when you reach the Flying Waters area. The rapier is her weapon of choice. In combat, Maelle switches through three Stances: Offensive, Defensive, and Virtuose. These stances allow her to change the fighting style and adapt to the situation.
Clair Obscur Expedition 33 Characters – Sciel, Verso, and Monoco
Sciel
Sciel joins Gustave’s party after you arrive at the Gestral Village. Follow the main quest and start the Arena fight. Sciel is the final contender. She uses tarot cards to apply a stacking debuff that weakens the enemy.
Verso
Verso becomes a playable character in Act 2. Once you have completed the main quest in the Stone Wave Cliffs area and finished Act 1, Verso takes Gustave’s place. Verso’s unique combat ability allows him to increase his damage, as long as he remains unharmed.
Monoco
Monoco joins the group after you defeat him in battle. After you unlock Verso, he will lead the party to Monoco’s Station, where you battle this new character. Monoco has a unique ability allowing him to change into different Nevron during combat. You will obtain the Expedition 33 trophy after unlocking Monoco in Act 2.
